Stockton’s Encora Energy looks to grow after Midlands appointment

An engineering and management services consultancy is eyeing national expansion after making a Midlands appointment.

Stockton-based Encora Energy says it is “looking at markets further afield” following the arrival of project engineer Michael Coe.

The business, which provides project development, engineering, consultancy and operations management support, says the move “marks the next phase of its growth strategy” across markets including the North West and Scotland.

Michael, a mechanical engineering graduate who was formerly international business development manager at environmental consultancy Fosse Liquitrol, will manage projects across Midlands-based sites.

Andrew Normand, Encora Energy new business manager, said: “We’re already very well-known in the North East, but now we’re looking at markets further afield.

“Michael’s appointment will allow us to get a greater foothold in the Midlands – an important UK region for us – and win more work there.”

Michael added: “I’m delighted to be joining a company that has ambition which matches my own.

“Encora is a forward-thinking consultancy that’s helping clients to exploit opportunities arising from the rapidly-changing needs of the energy market.”

Helping clients develop, install, operate and maintain new energy systems, such as renewable and battery storage systems, Encora also acts as a UK and European agent for UptimeAI, providing artificial intelligence support to the process sector.
