Studio Anyo wins six-figure deal to push forward £20 million cinema and leisure scheme

An architect and interior design firm has secured a six-figure deal to support the next phase of a £20 million County Durham cinema and retail project.

Studio Anyo is working on the Fieldon Bridge Retail Park, in Bishop Auckland.

The scheme – led by Fieldon Bridge Developments – promises 150,000sq ft of retail and leisure space.

Stockton-based Studio Anyo has already completed work on earlier elements of the project, including securing planning permission and detailed architectural design, and is now set to design on-site works.

It comes as the business presses on with growth ambitions, eyeing further success after enjoying a rise in work for regional and national clients.

The firm, which employs 18 people across two studios, is targeting £5 million turnover as part of a three-year development strategy.

Craig Kipling, director, said: “We continue to go from strength-to-strength with more work for the same client.

“This, along with other work, reflects our ability to take a strategic view of major property investment plans from an architectural perspective, while delivering high-quality work for clients.”

Christopher Dacre, Fieldon Bridge Developments owner and chief executive, added: “Studio Anyo continues to be an important partner for us, adding value to our operations and providing critical sector insight, experience and expertise.”
