The songs of Cole Porter, one of America’s all-time great songwriters, will be given a macabre twist thanks to the reworkings by The Tiger Lillies. The cult avant-garde musical trio brings elements of cabaret, vaudeville and punk together and presents familiar songs in a fashion that has been described as haunting and hypnotic.
The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art is currently presenting the work of British artist Hannah Collins, who was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1993. Known for her large unframed photographs and installations, this exhibition showcases Hannah’s explorations of cultural space and social history.
