Fueling local business

Costco, the leading warehouse club, has opened an exclusive new petrol station for the business community*.

Jim Campbell, manager of the Costco site at Gateshead, is excited by this major new service for its members.

“As one of the world’s largest wholesalers, Costco has fantastic buying power which means we can offer high-class fuel at competitive rates.

“In May, for example, we were able to offer unleaded petrol around 10p cheaper per litre than standard filling stations. This equates to substantial savings for those business people who travel widely to meet with customers and clients”

It’s not just the busy sales executive on the road who can benefit, as Jim explains: “The hugely-competitive pricing is also available for HGVs, which is good news for haulage and other distribution companies.”

Jim is also particularly proud of the quality of the Kirkland Signature petrol that Costco offers, which claims to help reduces emissions, restore fuel economy, fight harmful deposits and improve performance.

“Our fuel is premium quality that helps deliver efficiency while protecting your engine and saving you money,” he says.

Fuel is just one of many benefits of Costco membership for business people throughout the North East.

“Costco is a cash and carry membership club bringing high-quality products at the lowest possible prices to business owners and executives,” Jim explains.

“You can join our club at a very reasonable price and take advantage of an enormous range of goods, including office equipment, computers and software.”

He continues: “We also find that businesses buy bulk food and drink purchases for client and staff events.”

Jim is also very proud of Costco and its impact on the North East:

“We employ almost 200 people in Gateshead who help to deliver a first-class personal service.

“We have members from Teesside to the Scottish Borders and it’s great to know we are helping people to save time, buying in bulk, and money by taking advantage of our prices.”
