Northumberland and Durham Lord’s Taverners, the youth cricket and disability sports charity, held its yearly charity golf day on September 21st. The teams played in a shotgun start on the Filly Course at Close House. Circa £4,500 was raised, which will enable the charity to give disadvantaged and disabled young people in the region the opportunity to participate more widely in sport.
Regional chairman Jamie Graham commented, “The day was a huge success, raising a significant amount of money for the region. We are very fortunate that we were able to host our annual event at such a prestigious North East venue.”
