Jacksons Law Firm launch breakfast seminar programme

The first event, on 6th October, was attended by over 50 people including those working in the banking, financial, charity, commercial property, retail, and automotive sectors.

Jane Armitage, Managing Partner at Jacksons, gave a short talk which included some historical facts on The Secret Tower and an overview on Jacksons, its services and people.

The Secret Tower, formerly known as Sallyport Tower was built between 1265 and 1307 was once part of the main defensive fortifications of Newcastle City Walls.  The Grade I listed building has now been renovated by local photographer, Kevin Radcliffe and is open to the public on city heritage days.

Kevin Radcliffe, said, “When I took over the building, two years ago, I wanted to do something with it so that the people from the North East and beyond could enjoy it.  The renovation was certainly a challenging one, particularly with it being Grade I listed, but looking at what has been achieved, it has all been worthwhile.  We were keen to keep as many of the original features and we made the decision to re-store the coving and panelling in the main room and repair the main door and roof.  The view from the building, looking towards the Tyne Bridge and the Sage, is really pleasant no matter what time of the day it is or the weather!   We’ve had a lot of enquiries for weddings and dinners to be held at the Tower and I’m pleased to say the diary is filling up with bookings.  Jacksons is the first event to take place at the Secret Tower and I’m thrilled that the breakfast meetings will be held here going forward.”

Jane Armitage, Managing Partner at Jacksons Law Firm said,

“We wanted to launch a breakfast event somewhere a little bit different and when I came across The Secret Tower in the media earlier on in the year, I thought it looked very interesting.  It truly is a special place. I’m delighted so many people came to the first breakfast event, from all over the region. It has to be said, I think our guests were more intrigued by the building than listening to what I had to say on the day. Here’s to next month’s breakfast!”

Jacksons’ next breakfast meeting is on the 3rd November at 8am – 9:30am when David Smith, Director of Tilney Best Invest will be speaking.  To register your place, please contact Karen Robinson at [email protected] or call Karen on 0191 2322574
