Alison is an NCTJ-qualified journalist with more than 10 years’ experience. She has written extensively for a range of digital and print titles, and has managed the delivery of multiple magazines as editor. She is adept at creating engaging copy that informs and entertains its target audience.
Managing Director & Creative Director
Peter was the lead designer at the previous North East Times before leaving the title three years ago to become a senior designer and then creative manager at two prominent marketing companies. He brings this vast experience in print and digital design with him as the creative mind behind the all-new North East Times’ print and digital platforms.
John Duns has over 30 years experience in media, sales, management and marketing. He joined Thomson Regional Newpapers in 1984 and acquired specialist knowledge in advertising and sales management. He became product champion for The Journal newspaper and also ran its business magazine. John then moved into professional services. He helped re brand law rm Watson Burton and wealth manager Brewin Dolphin.
Martin helped shape the former North East Times for more than a decade as a sales manager and commercial director and now has the opportunity to realise the full extent of his vision for the title as advertising director. He works with clients to develop and create on and o ine media solutions which deliver results.
Business Development Manager
David is an experienced media sales professional having worked on a range of lifestyle, commercial and trade publications with national and international reach.
Digital Marketing Manager
Chloe is a digital marketing specialist who began working at North East Times while completing her degree in marketing management. She spent a year at a local marketing agency and has a extensive knowledge of effective social media strategy.
Rebecca works for North East Times on a part-time basis providing sub editing and editorial assistance. She also edits the technology and culture pages in the Out of Hours section each month.
Chris trained as a journalist with Thomson Newspapers in Newcastle. He edited Newcastle Life for 10 years, the forerunner of North East Times. He has completed journalist missions ‘as far west as Bermuda and east as far as Hong Kong’. He is a specialist property writer having worked as freelance for many national publications including Estates Times, Estates Gazette, Chartered Surveyor Weekly, Property Week and Retail Week.
Chris is a highly experienced editorial and commercial photographer who has been commissioned by The Guardian, Little White Lies Magazine, The National Portrait Gallery, BT Broadband, EMI and Virgin Records. He provides the
lead photography for the all-new North East Times, in addition to running his own successful freelance photography business.
Digital Marketing Executive
Chloe is working with North East Times on her placement year, curating digital content for Out Of Hours online and social media channels. She is currently studying a Fashion Retail and Enterprise degree at Newcastle College specialising in digital media and fashion marketing.
Andrew Lowe is an innovative film maker who uses the latest equipment and techniques to create beautifully-crafted and informative lms. Andrew works with North East Times on a freelance basis but has become an integral part of the team as the importance of lm and video becomes ever more prominent in ingregrated marketing strategies.
