Building Connectivity

North East Times asks Tony Snaith, CEO of Communicate Technology PLC, how the IT specialist provider is helping business park owners and landlords add value to their package to stay ahead of the competition

“When we initially speak to landlords or property developers about what we do, and what we provide free of charge, they always ask ‘what’s the catch?’,” reveals Tony Snaith, CEO of Tees Valley-based Communicate Technology PLC.

“The thing is, there really is no catch.”

Communicate is an innovative IT and telecoms specialist that provides telecoms, internet, cloud services, hardware and software, cyber security and technical support to businesses, with a specialism in multi-occupancy commercial properties and business parks across the UK.

Tony continues: “The unique differentiator is our model. We fund the entire network infrastructure required on a park or building. Tenants are connected from day one and use what they need, when they need it, on a ‘pay as you use it’ model, we believe we are the only Internet Service Provider or telecoms company in the country doing this.

“We install everything required and invest significant time and money in your property by installing ultra-fast fibre cabling (1GB) for immediate connectivity to your tenants, full Cisco network infrastructure, full Wi-Fi solutions, a complete IOT infrastructure and Cat6 structured cabling system to your building or park.

“We provide a fully managed cyber security service, Avaya hosted telephone solution, IT support, as well as IT and audio visual hardware for all tenants.”

Tony continues: “All too often we find a site’s internet speed and connectivity capabilities are an afterthought. However, more than ever, commercial spaces are under pressure to provide all services a business needs – or risk losing the tenant to larger premises or a better equipped facility.

“It’s become the norm for businesses to expect everything to be taken care of when basing their business within multi-occupancy properties.”

Tony believes that Communicate gives a business park or building a real edge over competitors.

“We understand the pressures of managing sites, by working with us we take care of the logistics and ensure tenants are up and running from the moment they move in. We pride ourselves on taking care of everything – which strengthens the offer to tenants and frees up the agent’s valuable time to market the property.

“We even provide a business migration service, taking the pain out of the logistics and disruption a move can bring. We work alongside existing IT personnel and teams, or, where businesses don’t have their own provision, can fulfil an in-house role. Moving no longer means a difficult transition period and our clients’ customers don’t even have to know.”

With years of specialist experience in the sector, Communicate understand the needs of landlords and agents, as well as businesses’ requirements.

For the second year in a row, Communicate has also been listed as a fastest growing company in Europe by the Financial Times, named as ‘one to watch’ by the Telegraph and listed as one of the top 50 best companies to work for in property by Property Week.

Communicate is a reputable IT specialist provider with a portfolio of clients that includes over 500 long-term contracts with companies including Northumberland Estates, Knight Frank, MIDOS Property Group, Dell, Hornby Hobbies and FW Capital.
