Chilly Snowdog to visit Royal Quays

September 21, 2016

At Bradley O’Mahoney, we are putting our full support behind Royal Quays Outlet Centre, one of our clients and also one of 50 sponsors of the exciting Great North Snowdogs initiative from St Oswald’s Hospice, Newcastle.

Great North Snowdogs is a mass art campaign trail which is set to capture the imagination of the North East public when it takes place from September to December.

For ten weeks, the streets, parks and open spaces of Tyne and Wear will become home to a series of individually designed Snowdog sculptures, painted by both well-known and undiscovered artists.

At a recent artist-matching event, Royal Quays selected to sponsor the Chilly Snowdog. ‘He’ is already very proactive on social media and his canine capers can be followed on @chillysnowdog

In early September, each of the Snowdogs will become settled into their new homes and the sculpture trail will begin.

With sponsors such as Tyne and Wear Metro, Gateshead College, Barbour, Sage and Presenting Partners, Great North Snowdogs will win the hearts and minds of a region that has an exceptional pedigree for supporting its own local charities.

Bradley O’Mahoney has worked with Royal Quays Outlet Centre for five years, providing an integrated communications programme based around media relations, direct marketing, social media and sponsorship.

We were delighted when the centre took our recommendation to back Great North Snowdogs as we felt this was an exceptional opportunity to raise the profile of the centre, as tens of thousands of people will do the trail. In addition, there will be some great opportunities for media activity, photo shoots and social media. It promises to be a really exciting time for all those involved.

Royal Quays centre manager Judith Ramshaw explains: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming Chilly Snowdog to the centre.

“We are wholeheartedly embracing this initiative; as well as helping to promote St Oswald’s Hospice, the trail is a tremendous opportunity to attract people to the centre. We have a very loyal customer base and we are looking forward to welcoming new

visitors. This is also part of a much wider marketing push for the centre in the months ahead that will include prominent roadside advertising.

“The centre is continually looking to expand and in recent months we have welcomed fashion department store, Quay Concessions, which is home to top brands such as Lambretta, Weird Fish and Tigi. We also have a host of well-known new names such as Dreams bedding, ladies clothing stores Bonmarche and Klass, and specialist footwear store, Brantano.

“In addition, we hope to make a big announcement regarding an exciting new leisure offering that we will be home to in the very near future.”
