My name is Daniel Müller, and I am co-CEO of Motel One…
I can’t sit still in the office for too long, so I am frequently travelling across Europe visiting our passionate hotel teams. So travel needs to be efficient, comfortable and most importantly convenient.
I always enjoy visiting the North East…
My hometown of Gelsenkirchen has a long- standing link with Newcastle upon Tyne, as the towns have been twinned since 1947, so I was very excited about the plans to open a hotel in the North East. The region is a very special place!
Newcastle International Airport is very convenient for business travel…
I love travelling to Newcastle International Airport, as it is easy to navigate and accessible from the city-centre, making the journey that bit quicker. On touch-down I often hop on the Metro, so in twenty minutes I can be in the heart of Newcastle. The range of airlines operating provides passengers with a selection of convenient flights.
Getting from A to B with KLM…
Since opening our hotels in Amsterdam, I am more frequently travelling with KLM. This is supported by the connectivity of Schipol Airport, a superb hub for onward travel. The KLM app helps me to make sure I am always in the right place at the right time, and ensures the forward-planning for the journey is accessible at my fingertips. The check-in is easy, a couple of clicks and you have everything you need for your flight right in your pocket.
Looking ahead for Motel One…
Motel One operates in more than ten countries, when planning a city base for a new hotel we must consider the connectivity available for our customers. KLM is one of the biggest airlines in Europe and the world, and they bring a lot of guests to the cities we operate in, which creates a good match.
Motel One Newcastle
The luxury budget hotel is located in Newcastle city-centre, ideal for overnight travel when visiting the city for business, offering unique interiors and individually-designed rooms with free WiFi, a healthy breakfast, and a welcoming service.
Newcastle International Airport
Passengers travelling on business from Newcastle International Airport will find excellent transport links to the city-centre. You have the option to sit back and relax, or catch up on emails, in the contemporary Aspire and Aspire Plus Lounges, with a wide range of exclusive facilities and services. WiFi is available throughout the terminal building, and the app gives you access to all the information you need while on the move.
KLM Crown Lounge
KLM is building a completely new lounge at Schiphol, the Non- Schengen Crown Lounge. The concept behind the new lounge fits in with KLM’s strategy of placing hospitality and customer experience at the heart of what it does. Of the 50 million passengers who travel through Schiphol every year, 70% fly with Air France KLM and its partners. KLM’s ambition is to create the most attractive lounge in the world, which will bring the KLM brand to life for travellers and make it a destination in its own right. While currently available to passengers, the final opening of the renovated Non-Schengen Crown Lounge will be in March 2019.
Why fly with KLM?
KLM offers a choice of 17 departure points in the UK, providing passengers with seamless travel to 165 worldwide destinations from the convenience of their regional airport. For 99 years, KLM has been a pioneer in the airline industry and is the oldest airline to still be operating under its original name, aiming to be the most customer-focused, innovative and efficient airline in Europe, offering reliable service and top-quality products. KLM flies via its multi-award winning hub at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.
Motel One Amsterdam
Echoes of iconic art, a sea of flowers, and the contemporary cult of the bicycle, Motel One Amsterdam is situated next to the convention centre at the Amsterdam RAI, and the city-centre is just a few minutes away by bicycle or public transport.
