The event was held at Pink Boutique’s headquarters in Newburn, where founder Alice Hall and her husband Andrew took guests from businesses at various stages of their development on a tour of the company’s 60,000sq ft warehouse, creative and marketing departments and design studios.
Guests, which included the managing director of AO.com and the founder of Victorian Plumbing among a host of regional businesses, were then given the opportunity to discuss a range of topics at a round-table lunch, chaired by Robert Cooper of UNW’s Corporate Finance team.
Themes included the challenges of scaling-up, the role of social media marketing in e-commerce and the future of virtual reality in the industry.
The aim of the forum was to encourage attendees to share ideas and experiences of the different methods used to develop and grow their own businesses.
