Tech for all

Skills shortages in key areas of the digital economy, along with a low number of women in the technology sector, presents fantastic opportunities for those considering a career in IT. For employers however, this means it is increasingly difficult, with fierce competition, to find suitably skilled and motivated staff.

On Thursday 11th October, MTC Training are bringing together a range of industry experts and local employers along with individuals who are considering a career in Technology.

The event is aimed at anyone looking to start or progress a career within the technology sector, whether it is College or University students wondering what career prospects are available or someone already working in the Industry who wants to find out more about career progression.

Quote’s from some speakers:

“I think that the tech sector is a great place to work as it is always changing. I am quite easily bored, so the fact that there is always something new happening means that you can change where you work at almost any time! I also love the fact that the tech sector has such a tight knit community. I find that there are lots of interesting showcases and networking events happening, so lots of places to meet up with new people or catch up with people you haven’t seen in a while, who are interested in the same thing. This also means that there is a lot of chance to gain support and mentorship to help you through a career in technology.” Emma Pyper, P&G

“Teleperformance – Adding the human touch to Tech! A career in Tech lets you be the human expert! You become the genius who helps solve the problem. Each interaction matters.” Jo Jones, Teleperformance
