Diamond Group makes significant investment in datacentre technology

A North East technology solutions provider has made a significant investment in its systems to accommodate its growing client base.

Team Valley-based Diamond Group has upgraded its datacentre equipment, including new servers, switches and firewalls, to provide a flexible infrastructure which will support businesses of all sizes, from four user hosted environments up to those with hundreds of users.

John Burns, managing director at Diamond Group, said: “Our clients are increasingly buying into cloud computing and we wanted to provide a resilient and secure solution. By investing in a datacentre, we can offer 24 / 7 access to clients’ own secure virtual offices, from any location with no upfront capital costs.

“This is an exciting move for Diamond Group which will offer a host of benefits to our clients, both now and in the future.”

Diamond Group has seen rapid take-up of its technology solutions, which has driven the move to a datacentre. The Company now has capacity to offer unrivalled service via its 10Gb data network switches and scalable internet access from 100Mbps.

John continues: “We are constantly consulting with our clients with regards to their cloud computing needs and how their own infrastructures would cope with a move to the desired cloud setup.

“In the past, larger clients have been able to implement that infrastructure and have been using datacentre solutions. Now that infrastructure connectivity is improving and becoming more accessible to smaller clients, our cloud solutions are consequently becoming more usable for those clients and this demand has led to a requirement for Diamond to invest and upgrade our datacentre equipment.”
