Gateshead technology firm create new jobs with exciting growth plans

New jobs have been created at a leading North East technology firm on the back of continued growth and investment.

The past 6 months have seen turnovers boast an impressive uplift of over 27%, and with the fast-growing Gateshead based firm gearing up for further expansion – investments have been made into new technologies and 3 new exciting roles.

A Pre-Sales Engineer, Project Coordinator and Second Line Engineer will join the 50+ strong headcount and be welcomed into the Advantex family at their Gateshead based HQ.

Working in a friendly and supportive environment, the lucky candidates will join the business at an exciting time and will be given the opportunity to develop a long-lasting and prosperous career, working with some of the brightest minds and most-advanced technologies in the industry.

2018 saw 6 new starters to the business, with Phil Docherty heading up the Marketing division and 3 new Project Supervisors with the appointments of Andy Fluen, Rob Windmill and Gary Searle. The Installations team was also strengthened with Georgia Lowery, Joe Graham and Campbell Scott joining as Installation Operatives, and finally, January 2019 welcomed Second Line Service Desk Engineer, Paul Harrison.

Advantex currently employs approximately over 50 people. Based at its Follingsby Park site, they provide enterprise-level IT, Communication and Security solutions to customers across the UK and Europe.

Established in 2002, Advantex Network Solutions has grown significantly on the back of major projects for Hitachi Rail, Rockliffe Hall, Newcastle Airport, and Northumerland Estates to name a few. Accredited by the likes of Microsoft, Mitel and Aruba, Advantex was also recently awarded with the Cisco Premier Partner status, and more recently, crowned ‘Most Innovative Solution of The Year’ at the Axis awards.

The company is targeting to further increase the already impressive turnovers as it continues to invest in its workforce, utilising the additional revenues to secure new partnerships and technology – growing its already impressive arsenal of solutions.

Operations Director, Dave O’Connell said the growth and invest in staff and technology is key for the support of existing and future projects.
