As a small business owner who has worked with people at the start of their careers throughout my own, I had always been attracted to the idea of working with an apprentice. Since placing our first apprentice we really haven’t looked back.
Jordan started his digital marketing apprenticeship journey after attending a recruitment event with ITEC. Soon after this, he was put forward for an initial interview with Colehouse Communications, and his CV jumped off the page.
Jordan was the ideal candidate. He was already utilising his social media marketing skills by publishing advertisements on a variety of different social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook.
Although he hadn’t started his career, Jordan understood there was nothing stopping him having side projects to demonstrate his aptitude, and develop his knowledge in digital marketing.
After a great interview and impressing on a short work trial, Jordan joined the team as an apprentice, which provided him with the opportunity to kick-start his career within a sector that he is incredibly passionate about.
Jordan has already become a valuable addition to the team at Colehouse Communications, and has been working on a range of digital marketing projects for a number of our clients, whilst learning some new skills and techniques along the way.
When it comes to digital marketing, we really value the input and expertise someone like Jordan has. He is part of a generation that has never known life without the internet – to not tap into that experience seems crazy to us as a digital marketing agency.
Moving forward, we’re looking to recruit more apprentices not only to support business growth, but also to give more apprenticeships the opportunity to access an exciting pathway to their ideal career.
