Pacifica Group on growth trail after Highland Appliance Services deal

A white and brown goods repair firm has refused to rule out further expansion following a takeover.

Pacifica Appliance Services has bought Highland Appliance Services.

The Inverness-based company – whose arrival in the Pacifica stable follows previous agreements for Midlands-based DAC Limited and Suffolk-based TK Garnham & Sons – has more than 30 years’ operational experience and covers the Highlands, Strathspey and Moray.

However, Pacifica bosses say it could be followed by more deals, revealing they are “actively progressing a buy-and-build strategy” to further grow the business’ footprint.

Pacifica Appliance Services is part of the Pacifica Group, which is based in Houghton-le-Spring and operates as the UK’s largest independent appliance repair company, undertaking more than 350,000 jobs every year.

Kevin Brown, Pacifica Group chief executive, said: “Highland Appliance Services is a perfect fit with the Pacifica business and ethos as we expand our commercial reach and customer base across the UK.

“We are actively progressing our buy-and-build strategy and are looking to establish relationships with businesses like Highland Appliance Services that would benefit from being part of Pacifica.”

David Macfadyen, of Highland Appliance Services, added: “Customers old and new will benefit from the enhanced and strengthened offering created by Highland Appliance Services becoming part of one of the largest and most respected businesses of its kind in the UK.”
