Celebrate at The Fed

One of the North East’s largest event spaces has been given a whole new look and now an event will showcase just what it has to offer.

From charity balls to awards ceremonies, from sporting dinners to private celebrations.

Over the years the grand event space at the former Lancastrian Suite has been the go-to spot for every conceivable occasion.

So it makes perfect sense that one of the biggest dates on the upcoming calendar is starring – The Fed itself.

The venue now has a new name – a nod to the former brewery which once had its home there – and has seen a massive £250,000 investment which includes a state-of-the-art sound and light system, video walls and a whole new modern décor.

And now it is throwing open its doors for a special event on 15th September, to showcase just what The Fed has to offer as one of the largest, stand alone event spaces in the region.

The number the venue can take are certainly impressive, with up to 1000 people comfortably able to fit for a standing event and 650 for a dinner and dance.

The investment in upgrading the space came after it was finally purchased by Ramside Estates, which has run the function operation for a number of years prior to buying the building.

It now is part of an impressive portfolio which includes Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa, Hardwick Hall, Bowburn Hall and Sedgefield’s The Impeccable Pig to name but a few.

Ramside Estates’ expertise – which includes a huge outside catering operation – shows the standards that anyone using The Fed can expect.

The scope of just what is possible will be on show at the event in September, where visitors will have the opportunity to meet the team, view the sensational facilities, grab a drink and try out some of the delicious food offerings.

For anyone from event planners to fund raising organisers, the evening – which runs from 4pm to 6pm – will provide a great opportunity to see the potential of what is one of the most exciting venues across the north.

Occupying a huge site at Dunston, a stone’s throw from the MetroCentre, The Fed’s programme shows its versatility with everything from some of the region’s most prestigious award ceremonies and dinners to Christmas party nights and sporting events.

John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates which also includes Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa, Hardwick Hall, Bowburn Hall, Sedgefield’s The Impeccable Pig and Colonel Porter’s on Newcastle Quayside, believes people who attend will be stunned.

He said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone who hasn’t been to The Fed before or who hasn’t been for some time to see the impressive changes that have been made. It’s a really versatile venue with the added bonus of the sheer numbers it can accommodate, and we are looking forward to showcasing it at the event in September.”

For anyone who hasn’t visited – or who hasn’t been since the venue was revamped – this open evening provides a fantastic opportunity to see its transformation.

And you might just be the lucky winner of the prize draw to WIN an overnight stay at one of the Tree Houses at Ramside!
