February 11, 2019
National planning firm, DPP Planning are delighted to confirm that Jo Robison has been appointed as a Director and Amanda Brocklehurst has recently joined them as an Associate Director.
Jo joined DPP in 2016 as an Associate Director based in the Newcastle office, where she soon established herself as a strong addition to the team.
With almost 20 years planning experience and substantial expertise in the residential sector, Jo has secured some of the North East’s biggest regeneration projects for DPP; Quayside West, Newcastle’s £250m ‘Urban Village’ and Aykley Heads, a £400m strategic employment hub in Durham.
“The past three years at DPP have been fantastic and I am delighted to be taking a lead in the growth of the company. In the past year I have been involved in some of the region’s biggest and most ambitious regeneration schemes,” says Jo.
“Quayside West will have such a positive impact on Newcastle, in terms of employment and housing, and Aykley Heads is another ‘once in a lifetime’ scheme for Durham – we’re really proud to be a part of these exciting schemes.”
Gareth Hooper, DPP CEO said; “Jo’s appointment as a Director in the business reflects the really positive impact she has had on the company since she joined in 2016. Jo has strengthened our residential and regeneration experience nationally, leading some exciting projects with passion. Jo’s impact on the Newcastle office is also notable, supporting the development and growth of an excellent team”.
The exciting period of growth for the Newcastle office is enhanced by the news that Amanda Brocklehurst has joined the team as an Associate Director. Amanda has been a planning consultant for the past 17 years, including 13 years at Lichfields. She adds significant experience and a new Heritage specialism to the team.
She has an MA in Conservation Studies (Historic Buildings) and was awarded The York Consortium for Conservation and Craftsmanship’s Annual Medal in 2017 for significant contribution to conservation practice.
Speaking about the appointments, Director of DPP’s Newcastle office, Faith Folley said:
“These two appointments are entirely in line with DPP’s positive plan for the future and this growth and investment in the Newcastle Office reflects our company-wide strategy. I’m delighted to have seen Jo progress so quickly since she joined DPP and I welcome her to the Board.
“I’m looking forward to working with Amanda as she joins our team, bringing both her heritage and extensive planning experience to enhance our current offer in Newcastle and to the wider company.”
