Aptus wins six-figure contract to fit-out new coffee shop

Newcastle-based Aptus has been appointed by coffee shop chain 200 Degrees to fit-out its eighth coffee shop as part of the company’s ongoing expansion.
The new location in Lincoln city centre, will provide room for 90 coffee lovers to enjoy handmade fresh food and artisan coffee. It will also be home to a barista school on its mezzanine floor, where bespoke expert coffee training will be offered for everyone from novices to experts.
Aptus, which has a head office and warehouse facility at Hoult’s Yard in Ouseburn, is a commercial fit-out and refurbishment specialist delivering projects UK-wide across the office, retail, leisure and healthcare sectors. The firm is progressing works on site for the 5-week fit-out ready for the coffee shop opening in March.

We love their innovative approach which combines training and pop-up retail experiences with their own artisan coffee and freshly prepared foods. Their sites have a distinctive style with low lighting, exposed brickwork, wooden panelling and open fires to provide a relaxed and homely feel.
“It was clear from the outset that our transparent and methodical approach perfectly suited the owners needs and working together would provide multiple benefits to the team.”
200 Degrees also plans to support independent retail businesses in Lincoln with a series of pop-up events in store to enhance the retail experience of customers.

Other recent projects for Aptus have included Mediaworks’ new head office at The Watermark in Gateshead, the reception of 71 Grey Street, Newcastle, which has been full renovated by Hanro group, and health surgeries in Gateshead and Teesside as well as Lush cosmetics stores in Manchester, Reading, Glasgow and Norwich.
200 Degrees, which was set up by Tom and his business partner Rob Darby in 2012, has distinctive coffee shops in Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Leicester and Cardiff as well as its own roasting house. The company has further national expansion plans with a shop in Manchester due to open in 2019.
