Learning Curve Group named as one of UK’s Top 100 Places to Work

One of the country’s largest education, training and recruitment providers, the North East England based organisation ranked at 89th in the prestigious league table, which is compiled by Best Companies and published in conjunction with The Sunday Times.

Learning Curve Group, which employs 450 members of staff and has 500 associates across the UK, achieved its position in the listing as a result of feedback from its workforce, which focused on key areas of leadership, teamwork and community involvement.

According to the research undertaken by Best Companies, 80 percent of Learning Curve Group employees believe that the organisation is run on strong values and principles, which is regularly communicated through staff development and Rising Star workshops.

The organisation also holds regular team-building activities to develop communication and collaboration between team members, including bowling events and camping trips. These activities led to 87 percent of staff agreeing that colleagues go out of their way to help each other.

Learning Curve Group is also highly-active in the community, regularly supporting good causes with both fundraising and charitable works. According to the Best Companies listing, 96 percent of staff believe that Learning Curve Group encourage charitable activities.

This year it is launching its own charitable foundation, and will continue to hold a variety of fundraising events in aid of the foundation, including its annual ball.  Staff also take part in fundraising social events and sporting challenges such as skydives and marathons to support the company’s charitable activities.

Learning Curve Group is also committed to providing a high-quality working environment, which is reflected in its newly-opened headquarters in County Durham. The organisation recently moved into a 22,000 sq ft office campus at DurhamGate, which includes flexible working spaces and break-out zones, which encourage team working and a creative atmosphere.
