Ryecroft Glenton appoints agriculture specialist Helen Pennock as partner

The independent financial advisory firm has appointed a long-serving team member to a partner position.

Helen Pennock has taken on the role at Ryecroft Glenton, which has offices in Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside, and supports clients across areas such as corporate finance and business and personal tax.

Having joined the company 23 years ago straight from school, Helen specialises in agricultural businesses and landed estates.

Helen was hired by Ryecroft Glenton as an office assistant when she left school and was encouraged to attend university, which saw her work part-time while she studied towards her degree.

Returning to work on a full-time basis after gaining a first-class degree from Newcastle University, Helen subsequently qualified as a chartered accountant.

As well as providing accounting, auditing and taxation services to a variety of businesses and trusts, Helen is part of the specialist team supporting Ryecroft Glenton’s agricultural clients across Northumberland and further afield.

Helen said: “I am very proud to be invited to become a partner.

“Throughout my career everyone at the firm has been very supportive, which has enabled me to acquire new skills and build up significant experience.

“I am keen to work with the younger members of the firm to provide the same levels of support that I received, to enable them to progress their careers as I have.

“Ryecroft Glenton is one of the most established independent advisory firms in the North East and I am looking forward to playing an active role in its future, with a particular focus on expanding our involvement in the region’s important agriculture industry.”
