Sintons continues commitment to emerging legal talent with trainee appointments

Four new trainee solicitors have joined Sintons, as the law firm continues its commitment to supporting the development of legal talent.

The trainees – Rose Foster, Ellen Marriott, Lewis McKeown and Sam Watts – were all offered training contracts with the Newcastle-based firm after impressing during the firm’s graduate recruitment week.

All four will spend the next two years in various departments within Sintons, before qualifying at the end of their training contract. Their first seats will be for six months and began on September 9.

Rose will join dispute resolution; Ellen will be in healthcare; Lewis will become part of wills, trusts and probate; and Sam will join personal injury.

Sintons’ second-year trainees will also move to different departments as they begin the final year of their contracts. Liam Anderson will join neurotrauma; Jay Balmer and Caitilín Hepworth will both move to commercial property; and Sophie Townes will go to corporate.

The law firm has an outstanding reputation for its long-standing commitment to supporting young people and offering opportunities, and offers a number of training contracts each year to ambitious and dedicated emerging lawyers.

Many trainees remain with the firm for many years and enjoy long careers with Sintons, with several having risen through the ranks to become Partners.
