New Bridgegate Tyres driving on with expansion after Odyssey Systems support

A tyre, autocentre and breakdown recovery firm has expanded with the support of a telecoms company.

New Bridgegate Tyres Ltd, which has bases in Barnard Castle and Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, has opened a new Tyneside depot.

Bosses say the expansion will strengthen the business’ existing emergency response service across the North East.

The firm worked with Tees Valley-based Odyssey Systems on its move, with the provider installing a fully hosted telephone system at its Gateshead site.

Bosses say the support means New Bridgegate is able to quickly divert calls to technicians’ mobile phones and an automatic GDPR-compliant call recording facility, without the need to invest in a major telephony system.

They say the company – which counts the Ministry of Defence and Durham Constabulary among its 24-hour breakdown service corporate clients – is also benefiting from high availability internet access.

Alongside its 24/7 response service, New Bridgegate also provides vehicle servicing, in-house mechanical repairs and MoT testing.
