The former Lancastrian Suite at Dunston has now got a new name – The Fed – and an incredible new look.

A £250,000 investment has seen the large scale venue get a whole new modern feel with revamped décor and the addition of a top of the range sound system and AV facilities.

And that means when it comes to events where you’re out to impress on a grand scale, there really is nowhere else in the region that can beat it.

Although previously a popular choice, the refurbishment has made The Fed the go-to venue for the region.

Not only is it one of the largest – taking up to 1000 people for a standing event and 650 for a sit down dinner and dance – but it’s also one of the most impressive.

It’s certainly very versatile, comfortably hosting charity ball and award ceremonies, sporting dinner and private celebrations as well as it’s very own action packed programme of events and party nights.

Now part of the Ramside Estates portfolio, The Fed sits beside other well loved – and equally as impressive – venues including Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa, Hardwick Hall, Bowburn Hall and Sedgefield’s The Impeccable Pig to name but a few.

The food operation is run by Ramside Outside Catering which has decades of experience and has looked after some of the region’s most prestigious events – so you know you’re going to eat well!

Events organisers can work with the team at The Fed to come up with a menu that’s created especially for them whatever the occasion.

While it may seem like 2023 is a while away, the truth is that it will be here before you know it – which is why put this date in your diary.

On January 19, The Fed is hosting another one of its showcase evenings – hot on the heels of its highly successful event in September – where event organisers, charities or anyone interested can see exactly what the venue has to offer.

From 4pm to 6pm there’s an opportunity to meet the team, sample a variety of street food offerings, view all the facilities and be entertained by professional singer, Ami Vaziri.

There will also be a chance to meet with members of exhibition planning company, Fresh Start Events, who will be able to showcase how The Fed can be used for hybrid conferences.

If that wasn’t incentive enough, anyone who attends will be able to enter a free prize draw to win an overnight stay at one of Ramside Hall Hotel’s amazing treehouses – what better incentive is there than that?
