Planning and development consultancy announces key promotions

Lichfields has announced key promotions across the UK, including its Newcastle office.

Chris Smith, whose career at Lichfields spans over a decade, has been promoted to planning director.

He has worked on the promotion of strategic sites and has assisted clients with planning applications and appeals across the North East, contributing to the delivery of housing projects in Sunderland, Durham, and Darlington.

He said: “I’m thrilled to be promoted to planning director.

“My career here at Lichfields has been incredibly rewarding and I am excited to continue working with our talented team to navigate the changing planning and development sector.

“The current changes in national planning policy present both challenges and opportunities, and I look forward to helping our clients achieve their development goals.”

Other promotions at the firm’s Newcastle office include Dominic Crowley, Adrian Armstrong and Isaac Vango, who have been promoted to associate director, senior planner and senior economic consultant, respectively.

Jim Fennell, Lichfields’ chief executive said: “We’re very pleased to announce these promotions right across the business.

“We expect the property market will pick up strongly as the policies of the new government begin to take effect and our promoted staff will play a big part in helping us to service an increase in demand for our services.

“We wish them every success in their new roles.”
