Entrepreneurs’ Forum appoints Vice-Chairman
January 8, 2017
Mr Robb, who is outgoing Regional Chairman of the Institute of Directors, and a current Entrepreneurs’ Forum board member, has been active in the North East since founding his PR business in 1987. He started his career in commercial and BBC radio, before founding Recognition PR, which manages media relations for more than 90 organisations throughout the UK.
In his new position, Graham will support Entrepreneurs’ Forum Chairman, Nigel Mills. Nigel said: “We are delighted that Graham is taking on the role of Vice-Chairman. His experience in business and the media, combined with his broad networks across public and private organisations, will allow the Entrepreneurs’ Forum to do even more to support business growth in the North East.
“The vast majority of new jobs being created now are in scale-up businesses, so championing growth in this area means our work has the maximum positive impact on the economic and social good of our region and the wider UK”.
Graham Robb said: “It is an honour to be appointed Vice-Chairman of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum. The North East is the region most in need of the jobs and growth that can only be created by supporting high-growth businesses. It is absolutely essential that decision makers in our region and further afield know the hugely important work being done by entrepreneurs and how they can best be supported.
“The Entrepreneurs’ Forum provides a unique network of peer-led support for business people that many other regions lack. It is independent of political influence and motivation, and run purely to bring the benefits of entrepreneurial growth to the part of the country that can benefit most from it.
