National Sales Manager appointed as business expands

Park Electrical Distributors, the North East’s largest independent electrical wholesaler with just over 20 million turnover, has promoted Graham McMullen to national sales manager

The company, with 75 staff across the North East, has branches in Sunderland, Durham, Teesside, Newcastle and Gateshead.

50-year-old Graham, from Dunston, has been at the company for 10 years, joining as an external sales representative.

Graham, said: “Park’s traditional heartland is the North East and this is an exciting time as we make a sustained effort to win contracts in other regions, most notably Yorkshire and Scotland.

“Having worked as an external sales representative and then as a business development manager looking after external sales, I am delighted to make the step-up to national sales manager.

“My previous role was dedicated to regional sales for our core business but now I will be showcasing our building technologies solutions to existing and new customers. I will be working alongside lighting design manager, Karl Snowdon and building technologies manager, Paul Kinghorn to offer both services whilst reporting into sales director, Simon Mooney.

“I am looking forward to working with my existing customers and growing my network in the knowledge that I am backed by highly skilled lighting engineers who I know will deliver even when presented with the most challenging of projects.”

“This needed a lot of time, planning and resource. Graham was my ideal candidate for national sales manager having built-up extensive knowledge within the sector.

“I am confident that our new offering will be a success. There is much work for us to win in the North East but we are excited at the prospect of testing our skills on the national stage.”
