AAA Cleaning Solutions seals deal with Italy’s REair

A cleaning firm has secured a “significant” contract to support an Italian company’s UK expansion.

Bowburn’s AAA Cleaning Solutions has joined forces with Milan’s REair.

Bosses say the partnership will help roll out REair’s photocatalysis products across the country.

Used widely in Europe, REair’s water-based apparatus can be applied to walls and windows to help prevent damp, reduce pollutants and destroy viruses and bacteria.

AAA Cleaning Solutions will take REair’s products to market, with delivery work sub-contracted to its parent company AAA Caring Caretaker.

It will initially test-treat six social housing properties around the region over a six-month period, to build data for marketing.

The venture will support one new job and two work experience placements, with further employment planned.

Alison Stephenson, AAA Caring Caretaker managing director, said: “This is a significant contract.

“Although we’re being conservative with recruitment while we’re in the development stages, we do envisage that, as the product is rolled out, several new jobs will be created.

“It’s been a huge year for AAA, which has seen us relocate our business to new flagship headquarters in Bowburn; agreeing this partnership is a fantastic way to round off 2023.”

REair, which also has a base in Los Angeles, had been exploring a UK expansion for months.

Francesco Sansone, REair strategic business development manager – speaking on behalf of the business’ chief executive and founder Raffaella Moro, added: “The importance of this partnership cannot be underestimated.

“Companies need to make their contributions to a healthier environment; more than 400,000 people currently die per year in Europe from respiratory disease.

“We need to think about our children and we must act now.

“Our products have a proven track record in helping prevent things like damp and the build up of harmful bacteria before they become a problem.”

The partnership was unveiled by Sue Snowdon, His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of County Durham, during an event at UMi’s headquarters on Belmont Business Park, Durham.
