Aon names Christine Wood as new North East office boss

A professional services firm has made a senior North East appointment.

Aon has named Christine Wood as head of office for its Newcastle and Stockton bases.

And the former regional sales director – who succeeds Dan Hopkinson – says she is relishing the opportunity to help “clients navigate the unpredictable, protect their assets and grow their businesses”.

“I have lived and worked in the North East my entire life, and I am proud of its strong and thriving business community,” said Christine [pictured, above], whose CV includes past senior leadership roles at Newcastle International Airport and John Lewis.

She added: “I am keen to build on our strong client relationships, develop new partnerships and nurture my talented and experienced team to ensure we continue to deliver the best service.”

Tracey Threlfall, Aon’s regional managing director North, praised Christine’s expertise.

She added: “Christine’s regional insight, industry knowledge and passion for the North East is second-to-none, and she is well-placed to lead the Newcastle and Stockton teams.”
