Aptus Fit Out appointed to deliver new Jesmond clinic for LASE Cosmetics

Newcastle based Aptus Fit Out has been appointed by LASE Cosmetics to deliver a new clinic at The Jesmond – a landmark development on the site of the old Jesmond Picture House.

Specialising in commercial fit-outs and refurbishments, Aptus has been tasked with designing and creating the new second floor clinic ready for its opening later this year.

LASE Cosmetics is a family aesthetic business that was established in 2011 by husband and wife team Ahmed and Lisa Ali-Khan. They provide a range of surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures to clients across the North East.

Managing director, Mr Ali-Khan, who is also a consultant plastic surgeon explained: “Everything we’ve done over the last eight years at LASE has been about quality and standards. The new clinic will be no different. We have always promoted safety, integrity and honesty in our industry.

“Of all the companies we looked into for helping us realise this plan, Aptus came across as thoughtful, honest and on point. They immediately understood the project and their vision was very similar to our own.”

Work on the £250,000 redesign will commence this June with the view that the new clinic will be open in the autumn. It is hoped that several jobs will also be created as the team expands into the new space over the next year.

Mr Ali-Khan said: “We’ll have a core of clinical and administrative staff based at the clinic full-time, and we’ll also have some part-time colleagues who will offer private services from the premises. At our new Jesmond clinic, we are excited to be introducing treatments and machines that aren’t available anywhere else in the region.”

The site of the new clinic, The Jesmond, was part of a £6.4 million regeneration project, which offers a range of office and retail space totalling 2,000sqm.
