Brough Partners eyeing further growth with fresh appointment

A costs law firm says it will “extend its offering and capabilities” following a senior appointment.

Brough Partners has welcomed Ana Matos as head of Court of Protection.

Bosses say her arrival will help maintain momentum at the Newcastle-based firm, which specialises in Court of Protection, legal aid and inter partes costs law work, and saw turnover rise 48 per cent over the last 12 months.

Ana will support and maximise Court of Protection costs claims of solicitor clients in her new role, while supporting business development and staff training.

She said: “It’s great to be joining the business at such an exciting time in its growth journey.

“It is are a wonderful team, with many longstanding clients, and I’m looking forward to supporting the Court of Protection offering.

“My focus will be to ensure clients’ costs are maximised fully, and to provide them with the essential tools and guidance to increase recoverability.

“I’m also really looking forward to providing in-house training on costs-related matters too.”

Andrew Brough, managing director, added: “Since founding the business in 2018, we have noticed increasing demand from solicitor clients across England and Wales.

“This is largely due to our ongoing commitment to providing a friendly and quality service for clients and, most importantly, securing the very best financial results for them.

“The appointment of Ana will allow us to extend our offering and capabilities further, specifically within Court of Protection.”
