Creo Comms continues to grow with new hire
June 15, 2021
Sunderland-based communications consultancy Creo Comms is investing in its creative offering and continuing to grow with the appointment of a new designer.
Lee Weatherburn joins the city centre firm with over 20 years of design experience across a range of clients in B2B and B2C sectors, specialising in graphic and web design.
Lee previously ran design agency, Depict Design, for five years and before that worked as the design, print and web manager at North Tyneside Council, responsible for the graphic design team, web team and an internal print and reprographics department. He has also previously worked for Newcastle College, the Ministry of Defence and Sage Software, as well as working on a freelance basis for many small to medium-sized businesses and charitable organisations.
He said: “Creo’s ambition, along with the opportunity to work with an exciting and growing range of clients, was just too good a proposition to ignore. I’m looking forward to joining a dynamic team and complementing the current high standards of creative output.”
After seeing increased demand for its services, Creo expanded its team earlier in the year and moved into new headquarters on Foyle Street, where they deliver a broad range of comms services to clients including Legal & General, Sunderland City Council, the Department for International Trade and Castles & Coasts Housing Association.
Louise Bradford, managing director of Creo Comms, added: “We’re really pleased to welcome Lee to the Creo team. Having worked with Lee for a number of years in a freelance capacity, his move to join us is a natural next step and we’re thrilled to have him on board.
“Lee is a talented designer and has a wealth of experience of applying his skills to projects for a diverse range of clients. I’m really looking forward to working with him more closely to support our clients.”
Creo offers PR and communications support, as well as design, social media marketing, web design and video production.
