Delanoy Funeral Services marks anniversary with expansion

A funeral services company has marked its second anniversary with a team expansion.

Delanoy Funeral Services has taken on three staff.

The business, formed by John Delanoy and Julie Stout, operates across east Durham, overseeing funerals in Peterlee, Easington, Horden and their surrounding areas.

And now, as it heads into its third year, the pair have swelled the ranks with three pall bearers.

Julie said: “What a remarkable two years it has been.

“When we launched, we were determined to change the way funerals are conducted and I am proud to say we have achieved that.

“Our new pall bearers have freed up time for John and I to spend with the families, which is so important to us because it ensures we can continue providing the personal touch we pride ourselves on.”

John is the fifth generation of Delanoys to work for his family funeral business, with Julie having previously founded Just Out Marketing.

John said: The past couple of years have been a real whirlwind, but in a good way.

Going into business with Julie has been a real breath of fresh air.

“My familys business was fully established in the Easington area, however, I felt it needed a new injection and ideas, especially given the challenges that COVID-19 was presenting.

“Since launching in 2020, weve not looked back.”
