Deloitte to create 25 jobs in Tees Valley expansion

A professional services firm has unveiled plans to create a raft of roles.

Deloitte wants 25 workers for tax positions in the Tees Valley.

Bosses say half the posts will help run a new digital customs platform, with the remaining half covering marketing.

And the business – which already has a strong presence in Newcastle – has refused to rule out further hires as its new base grows.

Stuart Cottee, practice senior partner at Deloitte in the North East [pictured above], said: “This is the first time Deloitte has recruited for roles specifically based in the Tees Valley.

“We know that the area is rich in talent and has a proud history of its workers innovating, getting results and having an impact that spreads far beyond the region.”

Stuart revealed its new starters will operate in a hybrid manner.

He added: “I hope our offering will attract people who want to work flexibly – sometimes in an office and sometimes at home.

“We find this hybrid model appeals to professionals who might be returning to work, have family commitments or simply want a better work/life balance.

“I also hope our offering may encourage people who might have moved away from the area to relocate back.”
