DigitalCity reaffirms business support during COVID-19 crisis
April 2, 2020
A business support organisation has shifted services online to help operators during the coronavirus crisis.
The Teesside University-led DigitalCity initiative has vowed to remain “here to listen and help” firms through the outbreak.
Director Lynsey Robinson said its support includes virtual one-to-ones with founders and referrals to other sources of help, with webinars, mentoring and masterclasses due to start in the coming weeks.
She added every effort is being made to continue delivery of existing programmes remotely, revealing its Accelerator service has moved online with workshops now taking place in a virtual classroom environment.
“Despite the fact we’re self-isolating or distancing ourselves physically from one another, digital is allowing us to connect for all aspects of our everyday life,” said Lynsey.
“We are collectively coming together to support each other and want businesses to know we’re here to listen and help them through this.
“If you are a local business that needs advice, guidance or just a friendly chat, please get in touch.”
