Park Electrical Distributors to sponsor Dormanstown under-10s
March 8, 2017
The wholesale specialist has sponsored the team and covered the cost of new kit for its 15 players.
Tony Arena, Teesside branch manager at Park Electrical Distributors, said: “Although Park has been established for 27 years, here at Teesside we are celebrating our first anniversary at Riverside Park, Middlesbrough. As part of our celebrations we wanted to reach out into the community and help support local deserving causes.
“One of my colleague’s sons plays for the under-10 team at Dormanstown JFC, Redcar and we were approached by the team manager who asked if we could assist with a donation for kit purchases. We were more than happy to be a sponsor and provide the cost for the new strips. We wish the boys the best of luck within their division.”
Graham Cousins, sales manager at Park Electrical Distributors, said: “My son Dylan plays in the team and on behalf of the club and fellow parents I am thrilled that the company was able to help out.
“The club relies on donations and is fortunate to benefit from an outstanding group of volunteers. It is important that the boys are able to proudly wear a sponsored kit much like the real-life professionals.
“The boys train on a Friday night and Saturday morning and play their matches in the Sunday league. Those who are not selected for the first team get to play against the opposition’s second squad so all who attend are guaranteed a game. Everyone is welcome and it is an ideal way for youngsters to enjoy the outdoors and make some new friends.
“The ages range from under 7s through to under 13s and there are a host of tournaments that are played throughout the year.”
