Elite: launches programme to help people stay fit during coronavirus shutdown
March 25, 2020
A fitness provider has unveiled a new programme and launched an app to help people maintain exercise routines during the coronavirus outbreak.
Elite: has launched a four-week home challenge to ensure clients can continue working out amid the tightening of social restrictions across the UK.
The operator has also revealed a new app, which it says syncs to existing fitness wearables and allows users the opportunity to upload their progress.
Paul Alexander, the business’ founder [pictured left], said: “We know it’s an extremely challenging time for people and wanted to reach those who may be socially distancing, working from home or isolating themselves.
“As the coronavirus situation develops, we know many people will need ways to boost their mood and stay active.
“Our clients tell us our lively and energetic workouts in the studio get them pumped for the day ahead, so we’re confident our home-based programme will do the same and really get people moving.
“We’re in a privileged position to provide a little support to people during what could be a lonely time, so we hope people enjoy the sessions.”
Paul said clients on the new programme will each receive a dedicated personal coach, who will be in touch to offer one-to-one support each day.
He added those taking part can enjoy two live stream or video workouts every day, as well as three weekly fun family workouts, an easy to follow meal plan, a weekly online weigh in, access to the ‘on demand’ workout library for the four-week period and additional video content.
“The programme is great for people wanting to maintain their fitness and well-being but also for people wanting to lose excess weight and achieve fantastic results,” added Paul.
“Clients taking part can achieve a 10lb loss in four weeks and for many people this is something they’re keen to do at home now they won’t be able to work out in a studio or gym as they usually would.
“We’re thrilled to be able to launch our new app alongside the home-based online programme as we know this is something that will help our clients stay on top of their fitness goal and smash their targets.”
