George F. White expands to capitalise on second stepper surge

Land and property consultancy George F. White has opened to a new office in the city of Durham to take advantage of increased demand for ‘second stepper’ homes.

The expansion comes as a recent House Index Report from Rightmove revealed that the value of three or four-bedroom homes for those taking their second step on the housing ladder has reached a new record of £291,618.

Compared to the same period last year, sales of second stepper homes are 55 per cent higher despite COVID-19 challenges.

George F. White managing partner Robyn Peat will be based at the new Durham office in Pity Me alongside partner Elliot Taylor and a core team primarily focussed on high-end residential sales and farm business services.

The Durham office will provide a full range of land and property services including building surveying, planning, development, architectural, commercial and rural professional.
