George F. White strengthens senior management team
June 16, 2020
North East land and property consultancy, George F. White, has made a number of appointments to its senior management team as it continues to push forward in a challenging business environment.
Andrew Creighton has joined the firm as a partner, having previously headed up the commercial team, focussing on driving growth on that side of the business and promoting George F. White to a wider market.
Andrew’s appointment coincides with recent promotions for Tim Michie and Elliot Taylor, who are both equity partners.
Based in Northumberland, Tim has specialist knowledge of the rural sector and leads the rural professional team whereas Elliot advises across all areas of agricultural business management.
Caroline Horn, from the firm’s rural surveying team has also been promoted to associate and will play a key role in developing the client portfolio across Yorkshire.
Robyn Peat, managing partner at George F. White, said: “Despite these unprecedented times, it’s great to welcome Andrew into the fold and also announce the promotions of long-serving team members who thoroughly deserve this recognition for their hard work, commitment and success in helping the consultancy to grow through both stable and difficult market conditions.
“Like many sectors, land and property suffered a sharp shock following the COVID-19 Government closures.
“However, as we approach the summer, we are finding that the market is ripe and buzzing with activity.
“We are focused on the future and the opportunities it presents and our recently strengthened senior management team in place to help us to do this.”
George F. White has offices in Newcastle, Bedale, Barnard Castle and Alnwick.
Andrew Creighton, head of commercial and partner at George F. White, added: “It’s great to join such an energetic and experienced team.
“The consultancy has a fantastic reputation across the industry, and I am pleased to be on board.
“My objective is to continue the progress the business has made in the commercial sector with a specific emphasis on broadening our offering to attract more urban and city-based work.”
Tim Michie joined George F. White from university and has benefitted from the firm’s solid learning structure and mentoring scheme.
He said: “Nine years ago, I joined the business as a graduate – what a journey it’s been. Working alongside experienced professionals day in, day out supported with key knowledge learning has enabled me to follow a successful career path so far. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds.”
