Graham Robb joins Institute of Directors’ national council

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has made a new appointment to its national council.

Graham Robb has been elected as a private sector representative.

Graham, who previously served a three-year term as the IoD’s North East chairman, is the founder and senior partner at Darlington-based Recognition PR.

He is also a vice-chair of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, a board member of the South Tees Development Corporation, and serves as an associate member of the Tees Valley Combined Authority Cabinet.

In his new role at the IoD, he will support the organisation’s council to ensure it delivers the objectives of its Royal Charter, manages key appointments and holds the board to account.

“The IoD is an important business organisation, which is respected by those who run our country,” said Graham.

“I’m honoured to begin service on its council as a private sector representative and look forward to contributing to its work on behalf of IoD members across the North East.”

Natalie Sykes, IoD Yorkshire and the North East regional director, added: “Graham will be a fantastic ambassador for the North East.

“He will be a valuable addition to the council, helping to ensure the IoD delivers good corporate governance of behalf of its members nationwide.”
