Haines Watts partners with Streetwise to support young people in the North East
July 11, 2022
Haines Watts have partnered with Streetwise Young People’s Project to support young people across the North East with their employability skills.
The partnership comes after the success of Haines Watts’ partnership with Building Self Belief CIO last year – in which the team took part in a series of podcasts, delivered employability workshops and raised over £11,000 for the organisation.
This year the Haines Watts team voted for Streetwise to be their charity of the year.
Speaking on the partnership, Donna Bulmer, Managing Partner at Haines Watts said: “I’m absolutely delighted that the team have decided to partner with Streetwise this year. Streetwise provide invaluable physical and mental health support for young people across our region and we’re all really looking forward to getting involved.”
“We are aware of the contribution that these funds will make to support the core funding of the organisation to deliver the valuable to support to young people that they do.”
“We found that our partnership with Building Self Belief was really rewarding for both the students and our team members and we’re looking to further build on this with Streetwise. Our team have already started their fundraising efforts and will be getting involved in mentoring programmes, CV and interview preparation workshops and other volunteering opportunities with Streetwise.”
Mandy Coppin, CEO of Streetwise added: “This is a great honour for us at Streetwise, especially as smaller charities like Streetwise often get overlooked for the larger national charities. To be working in partnership with Haines Watts is such a thrill for us, we cannot wait to explore how we can enhance our knowledge, skills and experiences by working together.
“To be championed and acknowledged by such a prestigious and highly recognised firm, is both overwhelming and humbling for us, and we will do everything possible to make the most of this wonderful opportunity”.
