Inspiring success as Muckle is named top employer for women

Leading regional law firm for businesses, Muckle LLP is celebrating a win at the North East Chamber of Commerce Inspiring Females Awards, having been recognised for its inclusive people-first culture.
The event, which was held on Friday 11 November in Newcastle saw women from across the region’s business sector given top honours. Muckle LLP was named the most inspiring employer (large business).
Jason Wainwright, managing partner at Muckle, said: “We’re delighted to be recognised by the North East Chamber of Commerce for our work in creating an environment that’s inclusive and fair for everyone.
“As more female graduates enter the legal profession, it’s even more important that we have strong female role models in senior positions. 50% of the firm’s partners and directors are women, which is above the national average, 56% of our legal departments are headed up by female partners and 100% of our non-legal functions are also headed by women. We believe we are leading the way.

The judges were looking for companies that create a culture and implement initiatives that allow women opportunities to reach their full potential as well as strong representation of women in senior leadership roles.
