November 22, 2021
KPMG UK has promoted 19 colleagues in the North East, mirroring areas of growth for the business and the continued investment the firm is making in its people.
Three new directors are among those promoted by the professional services firm, which employs more than 150 people in Newcastle.
Yogesh Anand has been promoted to director in KPMG’s Customer & Digital Consulting practice within financial services. His key focus area is helping clients transform their customer experience and bottom-line performance through customer-centric design, data, and technology capabilities. For more than 15 years, Yogesh has worked with a range of banks and insurers to reimagine key customer journeys, optimise sales & service, and deliver strategic Digital initiatives.
Dan Gibson has become a director in KPMG’s audit division based in Newcastle. Dan originally joined KPMG as a graduate trainee based in London. After qualifying he moved back to Newcastle where he has since worked with a broad range of clients in both the private and public sector. He has also been the Performance Leader for the Newcastle audit department for two years. As a director Dan now works mainly on listed and regulated audits across the North.
Caroline Allen, who sits in KPMG’s Consulting team, was also promoted to Director. Caroline lives in Durham and works with clients across the North East as well as nationally.
In other promotions, three colleagues have risen to senior manager, four are now manager and nine are assistant managers. These promotions reflect demand from the firm’s clients and have been made across all of KPMG’s capabilities – from audit and deal advisory, to tax, legal and consulting.
In addition to the promotions, KPMG’s Newcastle office has also welcomed 12 graduates and apprentices in Autumn 2021.
Ian Beaumont, Newcastle office senior partner at KPMG UK, said:
“Our people are at the core of what we do and central to our collective success in supporting businesses across the region and playing our part nationally. Attracting and retaining staff is a priority for every company and I am proud that we are able to support internal career progression and nurture the talent that we have here within the firm.
“Congratulations to all of the individuals who have been promoted through their hard work and dedication to providing the very best advice and expertise to our clients across the North East.”
KPMG UK has made a range of senior promotions nationally, with over 1,700 colleagues promoted on 1 October – the start of the firm’s new financial year.
