Law firm makes key partner appointment in Newcastle

Womble Bond Dickinson has appointed Adam Heather to the firm’s partnership.

Adam joins the firm from DWF, where he was the managing partner of its Newcastle office and worked there for more than a decade. He also previously worked at Eversheds and Muckle.

His appointment brings nearly three decades of experience in the real estate sector across both private and public sectors to the firm.

Adam also has significant expertise across regeneration and large-scale brownfield development projects, having been involved with many notable projects in the region, including the recent gigafactory proposed for Blyth and the biomass power station constructed at Teesport in Middlesbrough.

Adam said: “I am incredibly excited to join WBD and a team whose expertise and knowledge of the sector is second to none.

“The team’s strong service quality and legal excellence is something I am looking forward to building upon with my own experience to further enhance the service we deliver to our clients across the country.”

John Ralph, partner, head of WBD’s North East commercial real estate team, and its UK real estate sector offering, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Adam to WBD, as he will no doubt play a significant role in the continued sustained growth of our nationally-recognised practice.

“As a well-regarded and leading voice in the sector, Adam’s proven track record and expertise in real estate and commitment to high-quality client service will be invaluable as we continue to bolster our team’s service quality in these areas.”
