Medical duo launch book to help SMEs combat COVID-19

A medical sector duo have launched a resource to help firms during the coronavirus outbreak.

Middlesbrough surgeon Dr Rachael Coates and vascular consultant – and husband – Dr Reza Mofidi have written The Small Business Guide to Surviving COVID-19 Pandemic.

The book aims to empower business owners by increasing awareness of Government support, as well as information on the pandemic and how to survive its economic consequences.

It has been released on Teesside as a PDF to businesses in return for a charitable donation to the Philanthropic Foundation.

Funds are being used to help the local COVID-19 effort, with monies paying for apparatus such as iPads so patients can speak to families.

Dr Coates last year released The Northern Nanny app alongside business partner Sarah Heward. It has since gone from strength-to-strength, providing 525 hours of childcare monthly.
