Muckle LLP ‘enters new chapter’ with managing partner change

A law firm says it is moving into an “exciting new chapter” after unveiling a leadership change.

Muckle LLP managing partner Jason Wainwright will step down next year, with current head of corporate Anthony Evans taking over.

Bosses say the move – which will end a decade of Jason’s guidance – will build on “remarkable success and transformation” at the firm.

The Newcastle-based operator recently chalked up consecutive years of double-digit growth, increased turnover and profit and earned numerous industry accolades.

It also picked up Investors in People Platinum status and received B Corp Certification – in the process becoming the first North East and Cumbria law firm to achieve the accolade – for its commitment to social, environmental, transparency and accountability.

Jason, pictured above, right, who will step down as managing partner on March 31 next year, said: “I am proud of everything we’ve achieved together.

“We’ve built a strong strategy for growth, significantly increased our market share and developed new and growing teams.

“This success has boosted financial performance and allowed us to invest in our people and local communities, building a progressive culture that makes Muckle such a great place to work.

“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our incredible people, loyal clients and valued partners.

“I’m confident Anthony will continue to drive the firm’s success and develop our people-first culture,” said Jason, who will remain with Muckle LLP as part of its equity partner group.

Anthony, pictured above, left, added: “It is a massive privilege to take over as managing partner.

“We have never been in a stronger position as a business and as a team.

“I am excited to be able to take the firm forward into our next chapter.”

In addition to Anthony’s move, regional dealmaker Philip Clare will take over as head of corporate from April 1 next year.
