Muckle LLP launch latest podcast

For some, going digital has been the key for survival during the pandemic, but it’s not that clear-cut for the manufacturing sector.

In their latest ‘Legal Spectrum Podcast’, commercial law firm Muckle LLP explore the pressures facing manufacturing businesses and how one in particular has adapted to overcome many of COVID-19’s challenges.

North Shields based Bay Plastics started as a small shop in a converted flat and evolved to become a plastics stockist, designer and fabrication specialist operating from a state of the art 40,000 sq ft manufacturing plant, supplying customers across the globe. And then COVID-19 arrived.

In this podcast, Muckle corporate partner Matthew Walsh talks to Michael Currell, managing director of Bay Plastics, about growing his business over 30-plus years, quickly diversifying as the pandemic struck and what the future might hold.

Matthew says: “We’ve worked with the team at Bay Plastics for a number of years and it’s been fascinating talking to Michael about how they switched to producing protective equipment to support the fight against COVID-19.
