New hire bolsters UNW’s employment taxes offer

A Chartered accountancy and business advisory firm has strengthened its team.

UNW has welcomed Parm Bhachoo to the role of senior employment taxes specialist.

Bosses at the Newcastle-based operator say the move will help meet continuing demand for specialist tax service support.

Parm, who has joined the employment taxes team, brings experience from a 15-year career that includes time as an in-house specialist resource and a spell at senior level within practice.

He will support UNW’s clients with employment tax services that cover advice on national minimum wage issues, off payroll working and the Construction Industry Scheme.

He will also help with HMRC queries and investigations, and specific employer compliance advice.

Parm said: “UNW is a firm that is very passionate about delivering an exceptional service to its clients, and it’s great to be a part of that.

“We have a broad range of skills and a wealth of knowledge between the team to further build on UNW’s reputation for providing a leading service.”

Parm’s appointment adds to UNW’s employment tax offering, which has been bolstered in recent years with the arrival of senior employment taxes specialists Paul Tucker and David Paul.

The firm also continues to roll out its employment tax graduate scheme, which has seen Becky Hood and Leah Harrison added to the department.

A further graduate will join the team later in September.

Lee Muter, UNW’s employment taxes partner, added: “Parm’s considerable experience will give us a unique viewpoint and enhance our offering.

“There has never been a greater demand for employment tax specialists like Parm to help employers, and I’m really looking forward to working with him and the rest of our team as we look for ways to provide value to clients.”
