Newcastle agency wins top honour at Global Social Media Awards

A North East marketing firm has been crowned Best Small Agency at this year’s Global Social Media Awards.

Digital and creative agency Bumbl fought off stiff competition from businesses around the world to scoop the coveted title.

Based on Newcastle’s Quayside, the company helps national and international brands win attention on every screen through its creative campaigns, marketing strategies, content production, and paid advertising.

The judging panel said: “Bumbl’s people-oriented working culture, combined with a clear and objective-set plan for the future was really impressive.

“They met their goals and overachieved them, which is further proof of great future-planning. Any business that thinks forward to targeting and approaching their dream clients is future-proof.”

The Global Social Media Awards are the ultimate industry accolade as they celebrate companies around the world that create innovative, meaningful work on social media to produce tangible results.

Reflecting on the win, Greg Miles, founder and managing director of Bumbl, said: “This is an incredibly proud moment for us. In business everyone celebrates the highs, few publicise the lows, so I feel it’s important to share that it’s taken years of consistent, dedicated effort fighting through failure, overcoming challenges and stacking private victories.

“Every so often you might be rewarded with a public victory like this. I’m grateful to the team and our amazing clients for making this possible.”

Miles launched Bumbl in 2015 as a recent graduate, and has grown the company into an eight-strong agency with his wife and business partner Lois Miles.

He added: “We’re delighted to have been recognised on a global scale for our work, and are looking forward to delivering more thumb-stopping campaigns throughout the rest of 2023 and beyond.”
