North East skincare brand shortlisted for new business award

Whitley Bay-based skincare brand, Sea the Love, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the New Business Award at this year’s North Tyneside Business Awards.

Launched in 2023, Sea the Love offers a range of four unique skincare products designed to bring the natural healing powers of the sea into people’s daily skincare routines.

From its Seaweed Super Serum to its Radiant Marine Day Cream, every product is infused with sustainably sourced marine ingredients that promote skin health, while the brand champions self-love and body positivity.

Founder Annabelle Hill drew much of her inspiration from the coastline she grew up around.

She said: “Being shortlisted for the New Business Award is an incredible honour, especially since so much of my brand was inspired by my hometown.

“It’s really special to be recognised locally for my efforts!

“I wanted to create something that not only makes people feel great in their skin but also gives back to the ocean that inspired it all.”

Now in its 27th year, the North Tyneside Business Awards celebrates the exceptional contributions local businesses make to the community and economy.

The New Business Award recognises businesses that have made a significant impact since their inception.
